Melina is a social butterfly which is odd because she comes from two very anti-social parents. Needless to say, I've learned to be social. There is a need for it when your toddler walks into a strangers house at Halloween or strikes up a conversation with the man in line at the grocery store, or gives kisses to the mom at the park... and even more so when she helps herself to the food in someones stroller. Social skills are needed.
She generally likes everyone. She will walk into your life and make herself at home. She's a people person. She's more charismatic then Hitler I have no doubts that she could run the world. People always exclaim "She's just the sweetest little girl" She can wrap you tight around her baby finger and you won't even know what hit you.
Then there's the times when she doesn't like you. Her strong, happy, social emotions are just as strong when it's turned around. She feels with passion.
The first time was an adorable old lady who sat beside us while we waited to pick up the kids I was watching. She reached out to Melina and said Hello. She said "Hello" to my Melina. My super friendly, overly social, likes-everybody chatterbox. And Melina screamed. Screamed loud and long and yelled "No!"
It took one second for the little old lady to find a new chair. I felt bad.
The second time was when my husband's friend came to take photographs of Jasmine. He was setting his things up when Melina walked into the room. She squinted her eyes in a steady glare, lifted her finger and pointed straight at him and pronounced with certainty " I.Don't.Like Him" and walked away.
She has a big personality in that little body.
