We were visiting grandma and it had been a long week so my husband decided that at naptime he would join Melina. Not only would it help her sleep but he could catch some zzz's to. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
Grandma and I were having coffee enjoying some adult conversation without the constant chatter of my two year old when we heard it.
Behind the door of the spare room you could hear the pitter patter of feet and the slight sounds of falling items. It was not enough to worry us- after all- Daddy was in there, he's handle it.
Then we saw it.
The tiny little pebbles of dog food flying under the door at warp speed. That's when we knew that there was only one person napping and it was not the toddler. We opened the door to the sweet stench of bagged dog food, and chaotic mess of little pebbles scattered everywhere.
The dogs enjoyed helping with that mess.
